Trilobite by MachineRoom - Triple VCO & noise
The TRILOBITE is a triple saw-core oscillator module inspired by the original Moog schematics. It is made using only thru-hole components and offers a range of features for creating complex and rich sounds.
The module has four octave ranges, three waveforms (triangle, square, saw), and a UNISON (FINE) control with a range of +/- 12 semi-tones. It also has independent LIN FM and PWM inputs with attenuators, as well as a white noise source. Each oscillator has its own audio output, and there is also a mixed output with a level control.
We recommend using the independent audio outputs to avoid distortion. In this case, the mixed output can be used as a white noise source with an attenuator. The V/oct input of the first oscillator is normalled to all three oscillators, but connecting other signals to the other V/oct inputs makes each input independent.
The minimum frequency of each oscillator is as low as 3Hz, making it possible to use them as LFOs. Each oscillator tracks up to 9 octaves.
Please note that the TRILOBITE is a full analog module, so it should be given 5-7 minutes to warm up before use.
