Restocks, restocks and not only restocks
Scrooge
We have a big restock of both Eurorack and Desktop versions of the dope Neutral Labs Scrooge! Come and get one if you were in a search, it’s right here 👇
Psst, the Elmyras are also back 🤫
Scrooge is a sequenced malfunction generator, available (as a 42 HP Eurorack module OR semi-modular desktop synth). While you can convince it to deliver boomy kick drum sounds, clicky hi-hats or metallic snares, it would much rather be making glitchy artifacts, hollow crackles and horribly distorted growls. It contains a sophisticated and performance-oriented step sequencer with parameter locking and the possibility to control all steps across multiple tracks at once. Its 5 distinct and fully analog voices are made up of special circuits that work without dedicated power supplies, scrounging power from the sequencer control signals instead, which gives them an organic and unstable quality. As a bonus, it means you won’t have to power the unit itself if you sequence it from external gear.
5 distinct analog voices
device can work passively without a power supply if sequenced from external gear
each voice can be routed to either of 2 main outputs (headphone compatible)
individual voice outputs
individual voice CV inputs that respond well to audio signals
2 modulation tracks, individually routable to voices
2 modulation CV inputs
onboard step sequencer
parameter locking per step
"control all" mode (change parameters for several steps and tracks at once), great for interactive playing
arbitrary step length per track (up to 64 steps)
generative algorithm builds random variations on patterns (available while performing), or creates random patterns from scratch
pattern chaining (up to 32 patterns)
stores up to 128 patterns in 16 banks
microtiming
CV slew limiter per track
can sequence external gear
sync output
sync and reset inputs
MIDI input (TRS type A)

Vinia
After a long time we’ve got a nice solid bag of goodies from Tesseract Modular and they’re already available for you!
We’ve got the classics: Various TexMix modules, Step Fader MKII and Stonk……….
…however, now we also got the Vinia, an incredible (not-only) effects module with 8 channels, including modulation, VCA and much more for every channel, it’s a real gem. If you haven’t seen the demo video, make sure to have a look, I’m really happy for Mangu for releasing it.
Oh, did I tell you that it’s not just an effects module, but also an oscillator and a drum synth and… ok, you’ll figure it out yourself 😏
Vinia is a new powerful 8-channel audio generator and processor for Eurorack. Each channel is independent and has its own signal chain. This can be a multi-engine instrument, an FX processor, a combination of both, or a chain of several FX.
The sound generator section offers 2 sample players (one plays from the 16 MB internal flash memory and the other directly from the microSD card), various VCOs (VCO, multi-VCO, harmonic VCO), Karplus, a Chord generator, noise, a drum synth and modulation generators (LFO, envelope follower, envelope).
Each of these generators has a rich set of parameters for setting up your sounds. Then, there is a powerful multi-FX processor.
Tesseract Modular has added 20 different algorithms in Vinia: FM operator, filters (multimode, ladder, rubber, bandpass), a wave folder, tube saturation, delays (filter delay, delay, long delay), reverb, metallizer, grain pitch shift, and more.
These can be flexibly set in a chain per channel and offer many customization possibilities. The module also hosts a mixer. You can also save your channels in presets and work with macro parameters.
Each of the 8 channels can be independently configured as a multi-effect processor, VCO, sample player…
8 Channels
6 Audio inputs (AC coupled, tracks 7 & 8 use inputs 1 & 2)
8 Audio outputs (DC coupled)
8 trigger inputs
8 CV inputs (-5V / +5V)
Midi TRS input
2,4” color display
LFO, envelope, envelope follower, and mini sequencer per channel
The module can be used both with jacks up or down.
Audio outputs are DC coupled so it can be used to generate complex CV modulation sources too.
There are 2 types of modulation in Vinia, the first is stepped (occurs every 1,4 milliseconds approx.) and very flexible, any modulation source can modify any parameter of any track. The second is the ‘audio rate’ one (44,1 KHz), only a few parameters admit this type and both sources and destinations will be within the same track.
